Who Are We?
The Eastern Shore Association of REALTORS® (ESAR) was established in 1989. ESAR’s geographic region includes Accomack and Northampton counties on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. We currently have over 200 REALTOR® members and over 40 affiliate business members, who consist of sales agents, brokers, property managers, appraisers and others engaged in all aspects of the real estate industry.
What Do We Do?
We provide a variety of services including educational opportunities, professional standards enforcement, market statistics, multiple listing and lockbox services and more. Our mission is to promote the professionalism and elevate the business of members through education, tools and resources and to ensure that REALTOR® ethics and property rights are protected.

This June, the ESAR will be participating in the 2023 REALTOR® Volunteer Days, giving you THREE opportunities to dedicate time and effort to the various communities and charities on the Shore.
Habitat for Humanity Build - Melfa, Wednesday, June 7, 1-3pm
If you are a handy man or woman with a heart to help, come participate in a local home construction project with Habitat for Humanity. Tools and supplies will be provided. Dress for outdoor work, bring sunscreen and water.

Foodbank of the Eastern Shore – Tasley, Thursday, June 8, 10-11:30am
If you care about issues related to hunger, volunteer to help package food at the Foodbank of the Eastern Shore. Dress for work in a warehouse that is not climate controlled and wear closed-toe shoes. Bring water.

This course emphasizes that the standards of ethical conduct in the practice of real estate are based upon the National Association of Realtor's® Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice and upon federal and state laws governing conduct applicable to the practice of real estate.
Approved for 3 hours Ethics CE. Not approved for PL.
This class will be taught in person by Doug Wolfe of Alpha College of Real Estate. All students must attend in person. There is no hybrid in-person or virtual option for students.
This class will be held in room 148 at the community college in the New Academic Building. That is the building that is straight back when you enter campus.

This course breaks down the agency replationship under Virginia law. It includes information on brokerage agreements, dual and designated agency, and disclosure requirements.
This class will be taught virtually by a staffer from Virginia REALTORS®. All attendees will attend virtually. There will be no in person option for this class. VAR will provide the Zoom link to class attendees the morning of or day before the class.
Approved for 1 Hour Real Estate Agency CE.
Not approved for PL.

This course will answer the most frequently asked topics on contract issues, such as short sale ratification, default, termination, release, and more. The 2-hr class uses the second hour as a workshop format to work through various common contract scenarios using their knowledge of real estate contracts.
