St. George Island, Florida

Is located approximately 76 miles from Tallahassee Florida off the Florida Panhandle in the Gulf of Mexico. It is in Franklin County. It is easily reached by the 4-mile-long bridge over the Apalachicola Bay. Nearby towns include, Carrabelle, Eastpoint and Apalachicola

The island is a barrier island 28 miles long and no wider than a mile at any point. It is known for being quiet and tranquil due to its small size. The island is divided into three areas. St. George Island state park, a public area with restaurants, bars, small businesses, homes and public beach. The final area is a private gated community with its own airstrip, pickle ball court, tennis court, security gate and two pools.
 

St George Island is where people come to find peace and tranquility. St. George Island is never crowded. From swimming, laying out in the sun, walking on the white sand beaches in search of seashells, watching the gorgeous sunrises or sunsets, listening to the waves, kayaking, paddleboarding or throwing your cast net and fishing from the surf, you can find anything to do on the island. There is a bike trail that goes throughout the whole island that everyone loves to ride on.
