Our association participates in the NC Association of REALTORS® ombudsman program. An ombudsman is someone who is knowledgeable in the field of real estate who can work with consumers and REALTORS® over the phone to assist in resolving disputes and restoring a positive relationship.
An ombudsman cannot give legal advice and doesn’t make decisions for the parties, but they can offer guidance and resources to you or advise on the next steps to take.
This process could save you time and we’d like to offer you the services of an ombudsman as the first step in addressing your concerns. We can put you in touch with our ombudsman a few different ways:

- you can call 1-800-443-9956 and ask to speak with the ombudsman coordinator OR
- I can ask someone from the NC Association of REALTORS® to contact you directly.
