On Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, James Hall from FREDDIE MAC will be providing a one-hour session about FREDDIE MAC AFFORDABLE PRODUCT SOLUTIONS – specifically Home Possible, Home-One and HFA Advantage.
 
James will be joined by Mark Pease from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation who will be speaking on the topic of:  Dispelling the Myths of Affordable Housing. This program is being brought to you and your members by Florida Realtors in conjunction with Freddie Mac’s Single-Family Division – office of Client and Community Engagement and the Florida Housing Finance Corporation.  There is no fee to participate.
 
Students will learn about the background of Freddie Mac and their role in the mortgage process in partnering with Realtor Organizations and Housing Finance Agencies.  An outline of the mortgage ecosystem that makes the journey to homeownership possible for homebuyers will be presented along with current market data trends that can help identify business growth opportunities for agents. 
 
Freddie Mac has a series of tools and resources available that are helpful in prepping first time homebuyers become mortgage ready through financial literacy courses such as the Credit Smart course and Homebuyer U course. Both courses are FREE!
 
In addition, agents can also become a FREDDIE MAC certified trainer in Credit Smart and utilize this to do consumer education in their local communities. Mark Pease will be covering the programs under the Florida Housing Finance Corporation that can help homebuyers with little or no money for down payment.  Agents may think that it might not be productive to deal with a client with little or no money for down payment as a closing may never occur, BUT Mark will go over some real life statistics to change your paradigm.  Be prepared to be surprised!
