Dear Member,

We ask that you take a moment to read through this entire document, as it includes important information pertaining to the 2019-2020 Pueblo Association of REALTORS Awards and Installation Banquet. This year’s gathering will be further referred to and marketed as the 2020 Pueblo Association of REALTORS Membership Meeting.

Through the instruction and guidance of the Pueblo Association of REALTORS Board Attorney and legal counsel, our current Board of Directors, and the guidelines set forth by the Pueblo County and State of Colorado Health Departments, we have carefully chosen to proceed with the installation and awards of our members for the 2019-2020 year. The event will be held on September 10th, 2020 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Giadones 23344 E. US HWY 50

While undoubtedly, we are treading further into the unknown, per the 10th Amended Public Health Order 20-28 Safer at Home protocol, we have chosen to move our banquet to an alternative location. This location will be an outdoor venue. As you may know, we were set to have our event at the new Occhiato Center on the campus of CSU-Pueblo. After reviewing the public health order, we determined that we would only be able to have a maximum of 100 people at our gathering at one time. The order states that outdoor venues may allow up to 175 people within their usable space. We feel that the opportunity to have both an outdoor event and additional attendees is a decision that suits us best.

Our top priority is to provide the safest and most well-thought out plan that ensures both our members safety and a quality event that celebrates and honors the work done by our members and affiliates during what has truly been a life-changing time. Beyond that, we feel that our board has a legal responsibility and moral obligation to the Pueblo Association of REALTORS, it’s members and the Pueblo community to hold ourselves to a higher standard, set the bar and do this right. We have a chance to be on the right side of history. If we, as an organization, are able to hold events like this properly, we put ourselves in a position to help create a blueprint on events for the foreseeable future in Pueblo and Colorado alike.

With that being said, here is a list of a few of the steps and precautions we’ll be adding to this year’s event. Under no circumstances are these negotiable. We want to make this clear to both our members and the community that this is not a partisan decision. Many of these steps are being taken in accordance with the public health order.

  • This year’s event will be open to MEMBERS ONLY.
    • Unfortunately, no spouses, families or outside parties will be permitted to attend this year’s gathering. While we certainly do hope that this changes in the future, limiting this year’s event to members only allows us to open up the event the maximum amount of members we are able to accommodate, as we have over 600 dues paying members.
  • of 175 attendees, excluding event staff.

  • Every attendee MUST pre-register by September 4th, 2020.
    • The first 175 people in order of sign up will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
    • A waiting list will be generated based on order of sign up beyond 175. YOU MUST call to be put on the waiting list.
    • A confirmation e-mail will be sent out to confirm attendance.
    • Any member who opts out of attending the gathering will be removed from the attendance list. In the event that they are removed and desire to re-attend, they will be moved to the bottom of the waiting list.
    • In the event that a member cannot attend the event after they’ve confirmed their attendance, NO REPLACEMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT THE PAR OFFICE’S APPROVAL. A MEMBER MAY NOT REPLACE THEIR RESERVATION WITH THEIR OWN REPLACEMENT.
Every attendee MUST sign a waiver provided by the PAR office.
  • Members may not attend the event if they have not signed the waiver prior to September 4th, 2020.
  • If a member has not signed the waiver by September 4th, 2020, their name will be removed from the attendance list and a member from the waiting list will take their place.
Reservations may not be made for anyone except the attending party.
  • This means, a broker cannot call in to make reservations for their entire office. Each individual member must make their own reservation.
Members in attendance MUST follow social distancing guidelines and are REQUIRED to wear a mask or face covering.
  • If members do not have a mask, one will be provided for them.
Upon entrance, the PAR staff will be taking and recording the temperature of each attending member and asking a short questionnaire.
  • If a member is running a fever or fails the questionnaire, they will NOT be permitted to enter the event.
Any attendee must comply with guidelines set by both the state, local and association governing bodies and failure to do-so will result in removal from the event via event security staff.

We cannot stress more the importance of being leaders in our community during this time. Our goal is to set a precedent, while ensuring the safety of both our members and the Pueblo community. We pride ourselves on our storied ability to host wonderful events and we recognize the importance of honoring the hard work and perseverance of every individual member. While we certainly do wish that we were able to host all 600+ members, we are grateful for the opportunity we have been given to continue the excellence.
