HIGH COUNTRY HOUSING PRICES UP 5.8% IN 2011

That's according to statistics just released by the High Country Association of Realtors which includes single family residential home sales in Ashe, 
Avery, and Watauga counties of NC.

 Sales data showed a 5.8% increase in the median price of a home from $200,000 in 2010 to $211,550 in 2011. The data is compiled from the High Country Multiple Listing Service (MLS) which tracts all REALTOR assisted purchases and sales in the High Country.
