360 Degree Leadership – Extending the Impact
Leadership is a role and a lifestyle. Leaders in the real estate community should be an example of growth and efficiency that will benefit the agents and the public. This class is designed to help the agents follow protocols, professional standards and the code of ethics in leading the Association. The Association’s focus is to contribute to the success of their members in providing excellent service to the communities they live and work in with a goal of being a positive influence for agents, consumers and the community.
Through this class, the student will learn to:
1. Practice Servant Leadership by using their strengths – in the Association and in the Community – for serving individual clients, government policy and organizations they volunteer with and impact as an association.
2. Practice Professional Standards policy in order to ensure agents are serving the public and other agents well.
3. Apply the Code of Ethics for Realtors in their Association, specifically concerning the following
a. Be Honest to all parties – Articles 1 and 12
b. Don’t Discriminate Article 10
c. Deal above board with people and disclose – relationships, adverse facts – Articles 2, 4, 6 ,12
d. Do not make any false or misleading statements about other real estate professionals. Article 15. Be an example. If there is a legitimate complaint, file it.
4. Be respectful of others in a broad sense with a focus on conflict management, communication, and running meetings.
