LICENSE RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS

FIRST LICENSE RENEWAL:  If this is your first license renewal, you will need to complete 30 hours of pre-approved mandatory post-licensing courses.

NOT YOUR FIRST LICENSE RENEWAL:  If this is NOT your first license renewal, you need to complete 16 hours of pre-approved continuing education courses. This consists of eight hours of required topics and 8 hours of real estate related electives. The eight hours of required topics include one hour each of Agency, Contracts and Legal Updates, two hours of Fair Housing, and three hours of Ethics.

BROKER LICENSE RENEWAL:  Brokers are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education courses consisting of the 16 hours listed above, plus eight additional hours of pre-approved Real Estate Management and Agent Supervision 
 

2017 UPCOMING EDUCATION CLASSES

Tuesday, May 23, 2017:  Donna Austin will be instructing the followingclasses: 

9:00 to noon:  Ethics Seminar - approved for 3 hours ethics for continuing education and post lice education, and satisfies NAR's biannual ethics requirement for the period ending 12/31/2018.

1:00 to 3:00 p.m.:  Fair Housing - approved for 2 hours fair housing for continuing education and post licence education.

3:00 to 4:00 p.m. :Time to Sign:  Why, When and How to Sign the Buyer Agreement - approved for 1 hour real estate agency for continuing education  - not approved for post license education.

Tuesday, June 13. 2017:  Erin Barton will be instucting the following classes

9::00 to 11:00 a.m.  - Broker Pitfalls and Resources -  class is approved for 2 hours Legal Updates w/Flood Ce; 2 hours Broker Management; not appoved for PL

Thursday, July 27, 2017:  Laura Farley will be instructing the following classes:

9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. - Advertising: Promoting Your Business the Right Way - class is approved for 2 hours Legal Updates w/Flood CE; 2 hours Current Industry Issues/Trends PL

11:00 a.m. to noon - VR's Suggested Office Policy Manual:  class is approved for 1 hour Legal Updates w/Flood CE; 1 hour Broker Management

1:30 to 3:30 p.m. - Dilemmas Facing Real Estate:  class is approved for 2 hours Legal Updates with Flood Content CE; 2 hours Broker Management; or 2 hours Current Industry Issues/Trends PL

Classes will be held at the Northern Neck Association of Realtors, Callao Professional Building, Lower Level, 268 Northumberland Highway, Callao, VA 22435.  Note:  Classes are free for Primary and Secondary members of the Northern Neck Association of Realtors®.  Cost for non-NNAR members is $35.
